11, 2002 Terri Union, of Union Corrugating Company, was sworn in Wednesday as Commissioner of the Fayetteville Public Works Commission. The
first woman to serve on the PWC Board in the companys 97-year history,
Union was sworn in by Fayetteville Mayor Marshall Pitts to a four-year
term on the Commission. She replaces Milt Wofford, whos second term
on the PWC Board ended in June, 2002. She serves as Executive Vice-President of Union Corrugating Co., a family-owned and operated business that started in Fayetteville in 1946. Fayetteville is the home office of the company that produces metal building products and has seven manufacturing and distribution locations throughout the United States. At Wednesdays meeting, the 2002-03 PWC officers were also elected. Vance Neal, who has served on the board since 1996, was elected Chairman of the Board. Wilson Lacy, who joined the board in 2001, was elected Vice-Chairman. Robert Sandy Saunders, immediate past PWC chairman, was selected as Secretary and Union was elected as Treasurer.
