Restoration Complete Following Isabel

PWC completed restoration of all outages due to Hurricane Isabel Thursday evening just before midnight. PWC crews worked continuously Thursday to complete repairs and restore services for our customers.

Some customers who require repairs to their property prior to PWC being able to reconnect their service may still be out. Those customers are reminded to contact PWC once those repairs are made.

Throughout Thursday, PWC experienced fluctuating outages with the highest occurring between 3-4 pm when nearly 33,000 customers were without power. Most outages were scattered throughout the PWC service area. The area most affected was the western side of Fayetteville where service was out to nearly 30,000 customers for approximately one hour following equipment failure at a major point of delivery into the PWC system.
