October. 6, 2003
During
the week of Oct. 5-11, celebrate the benefits of being a Public Power
community. Since
1905, PWC, a public power electric provider, has operated for the benefit
of our local customers. As a public power provider, we are locally controlled
and operated. Our employees live in the community and, on and off the
job, make our community a better place to be. And the electric revenue
remains in our community to help Fayetteville/Cumberland County grow and
prosper. Because we are local, we can provide the fastest possible response
to our customers. PWC
is proud to serve over 65,000 electric customers throughout our community
and we celebrate Public Power in October with over 2,000 communities across
the United States. Don't
Miss "It's Electric" Saturday! Come
out and enjoy a variety of activities, including a bean bag toss, putting
green and balloons. You can even take a ride in a PWC bucket truck! PWC's
Wally Watt Watcher and friends will also be mingling with the crowd and
leading the group in the electric slide. For
more information, contact the PWC PWC Public Information Office at 223-4009.
