Olivera
Named Chairman of PWC Board

Luis "Lou" Olivera was appointed Chairman of the PWC Commission at the Board's July 26 meeting. Olivera, a member of the PWC board in 2003 is the first Hispanic and the youngest member to serve on a PWC Board.
The PWC Board of Commissioners consists of four members, appointed by the Fayetteville City Council to serve four-year staggered terms. The officers for the 2006-07 fiscal year are: Olivera- Chairman; Mike Lallier- Vice Chairman; Wilson Lacy- Secretary; and Terri Union -Treasurer.
Union, the first-ever woman to serve on the Board, served as Chairwoman during the 2005-06 fiscal year and was sworn in for a second term on the Board at the July 26 meeting.
