PWC Employees Recognized by Local & State United Way
Fayetteville PWC has received recognition from the United Way of North Carolina and Cumberland County for outstanding support of United Way through their annual employee giving campaign.
The United Way of NC presented PWC with the 2020 Spirit of NC Award for “Engaged Leadership and Employees”, PWC’s 15th Spirit award since 2003.
The award honors organizations whose United Way campaigns exemplify the “spirit” of their community. Winners meet specific standards of achievement and are selected by a team of United Way leaders from across the state. United Way of North Carolina leads the award nomination and judging process and presents the award annually. PWC was one of 78 organizations recognized.
In 2020, PWC employees pledged over $156,000 to the annual United Way campaign and had 91% giving participation. PWC’s retiring CEO, David Trego and incoming CEO, Elaina Ball, helped lead the campaign’s success by issuing a variety of challenges to PWC employees that resulted in the CEO’s increasing their personal contributions.
PWC utilized the United Way’s new on-line pledge form and successfully adapted its annual giving campaign to overcome the workplace challenges COVID-19 presented. The United Way of Cumberland County recognized PWC as its Marquis Award winner for having the highest number of Marquis/Leadership contributions ($1000+) and named PWC Carolyn Justice-Hinson, as the Campaign Manager of the Year.
