Sanitary Sewer Service Dye Test

PWC’s Water Resources Construction Department can visit your home or business to conduct a dye test of your sanitary sewer service lines.   A dye test is a standard test to confirm proper connection of the sanitary sewer line infrastructure.

During a dye test, a PWC employee must enter the home or business to flush dye tablets down the toilet.  The dye tablets color the water going into the sewer lines so that the PWC crew can visually verify if and where the sanitary sewer line from the house or business is connected to the public sewer system.

Since access to the interior of your home or building is required for this dye test, PWC asks that you call and schedule a time that is convenient for you.  Please contact PWC at 910-223-4715 or 910-223-4716, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., to schedule the test.
