AMWA Gold Award
PWC was recognized with the 2024 Gold Award for Exceptional Utility Performance by the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies (AMWA). PWC is one of five utilities in the nation recognized for this prestigious award this year.

These are the 10 Attributes of Effectively Managed Utilities identified in 2007 by a blue-ribbon panel of water and wastewater utility executives.
PWC received this award due to its continuing commitment to cutting-edge water treatment technology and dedication to providing safe and reliable drinking water. As a founding member of the Partnership for Safe Water, PWC has worked to exceed environmental standards, focusing on reducing industrial pollution and PFAS in our source waters. Because of PWC’s advocacy for safe drinking water, our water treatment facility hosted the EPA’s announcement of new national drinking water standards in April 2024.
As PWC celebrates being recognized as a national leader, we remain committed to continuing to provide safe and reliable water services to our customers while remaining good stewards of the environment.
