Water Resources Engineering

The Water Resources Engineering (WRE) Department’s mission is to improve water and sanitary sewer system reliability and maintain responsible rates by providing timely, quality, and cost-effective engineering services to internal and external customers and stakeholders.

WRE is responsible for supporting the water treatment plants and wastewater reclamation plants, as well as assisting with the operation, maintenance, and construction of new and existing water and sanitary sewer utilities owned and maintained by PWC. WRE also provides information on new and existing water and sanitary sewer services to residents and commercial enterprises.

Services that WRE provides include:

• GIS
• Water modeling
• Sewer modeling
• Fees for water and/or sanitary sewer laterals and/or extensions
• Studies for water and sanitary sewer extensions into existing neighborhoods
• Permitting for water and/or sanitary sewer extensions within the PWC system
