  • Crisis Intervention Program (CIP): Offers financial help with electric bills. Payments are made to the utility provider. Help is available more than once every 12 months.
  • Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP):  Offers financial help with heating bills once every 12 months. Payments are based on household size, income, and heating source. Payments are made to the utility provider.
  • Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP):  Offers a 1-time payment to help with water bills. Payments are made to the utility provider.

  • Weatherization Assistance Program:  Designed to help those who meet federally outlined income requirements in conserving energy and therefore enabling them to better cope with fuel cost increases and other household expenses. Weatherization involves conducting an energy assessment to identify the most cost-effective energy improvements that need to be performed on a dwelling, and then making the improvements at no cost to the household.
  • Heating and Air Repair or Replacement Program:  A program that enables eligible households to have heating and air conditioning systems inspected, tuned, repaired, or replaced, when needed. Selection is based on a state-mandated priority system.
