Commissioner Ronna Rowe Garrett

Ronna Rowe Garrett was appointed to the PWC Board of Commissioners in April 2021 and currently serves as Chair.

Garrett is the owner and CEO/President of The Ronna Garrett Group, LLC, providing executive coaching services, board advisory services for woman-owned small businesses, and professional speaking engagements.  

Garrett is a former federal Senior Executive Service member with more than 35 years of experience in federal human capital and business management. Her passion and expertise are in public policy, government reform and building wildly successful teams.  As the former Department of Defense Deputy Chief Human Capital Officer, she co-chaired an international Board of Human Capital and Business Transformation Executives responsible for strategic human capital planning, legislative initiatives, policy development, technical program oversight, and human capital architecture and governance impacting a civilian workforce of 950,000. She has extensive experience as a tri-sector leader, having led teams in non-profit, private and public industries.  

Garrett currently serves as the Associate Vice President, Strategy and Client Development for YRCI, a privately owned company that delivers human resource management, acquisition management, and financial management services located in Washington, D.C. 

Garrett earned a Master’s in Human Resource Management from Troy University (Troy, Ala.).  She is married to Robert Garrett and has three children, Rick, Alexandra and Morgan-Ashley.  She is a graduate of the Fayetteville Institute for Community Leadership, Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Fayetteville, United Way Multi-Cultural Leadership Development Program and the City of Fayetteville’s Citizen’s Academy.
