ENERGY STAR® Bulb Incentive Program
ENERGY STAR® certified LED bulbs are the latest in energy efficiency lighting technology. With more than 40 light sockets in the average U.S. household, lighting can cost approximately $200 per year! Replacing your incandescent bulbs with ENERGY STAR certified LED bulbs can help reduce your yearly costs and last nearly 25 times longer.
As of October 1, 2015 you can earn up to $100 bill credit when you replace a minimum of eight (8) ENERGY STAR LED bulbs. Check out how you can take advantage of this great Program while it lasts!
Calculate the ENERGY cost of your Lighting
Residential LEDs — especially ENERGY STAR rated products — use at least 70 – 90% less energy, and last 25 times longer, than incandescent lighting. (www.energystar.com) Save money by turning off the lights when you leave a room. Use the calculator below to find additional savings when you switch to LED lighting!
How it works:
- Enter the number of each type of bulbs you have in your home
- Enter the average number of hours a day you use those lights
How it adds up:
- See your annual energy use and cost of operating those bulbs
- See the number of kWh and cost you can save by replacing all of the bulbs in your light fixtures with LED bulbs. (note: Calculator assumes use of non-LED bulbs. If all you use all LED bulbs, no additional savings will show)
