Lower utility bills and improve home comfort with affordable energy-efficient upgrades

Being a new homeowner or renter can introduce great struggles with utility bills and maintenance costs within the first few years. Taking advantage of education and opportunity to combat this early on can create energy saving customs. PWC wants to help you be conscious of money/energy savings and appliance upgrade opportunities through Energy Saver NC programs with straightforward, self-paced, and upfront processes.

Outdated appliances, poor insulation, and inefficient systems can increase utility bills and cause comfort issues.

Energy Saver NC is a program that helps homeowners and renters across all 100 counties improve comfort, lower utility bills, and access federally funded rebates through HOMES and HEAR programs for energy efficiency and electrification upgrades.

The Energy Saver NC program is managed by the NC Department of Environmental Quality. The program is estimated to continue until 2031 or when NCDEQ’s $208 million funds set aside for the program run out.

Homes: (Homeowners Managing Efficiency Savings)

These rebates are for improvements that increase the overall energy efficiency of a home, such as insulation, air sealing, and upgrading heating and cooling systems. Through this program, the customer has access to a free home audit to identify eligibility and recommended upgrades.

HEAR: (Homeowners Managing Efficiency Savings)

These rebates support the purchase of energy-efficient appliances and home electrification of home systems, like switching from gas to electric stoves or installing heat pump water heaters.
