“Public Works” is the biggest art show of the year! Join Fayetteville PWC on Friday, May 25 from 7pm-9pm at the Arts Council on Hay Street. This is an opportunity for all artists to have their work exhibited from May 25 through July 21 at the Arts Council: Call For Artists. Vote for your favorite masterpiece, take home (FREE) useful conservation goodies, get an up close look at a PWC “TV Van,” chat with representatives from the City of Fayetteville’s Stormwater Division, and PWC’s Watersheds Department. Plus, enjoy some great music courtesy of a local band. The event is FREE and open to the public.
Each month, a couple of thousand people are finding out that downtown Fayetteville is the “art” of Fayetteville as they participate in The Arts Council’s Fourth Friday event. Exhibits, entertainment, refreshments and featured artists all combine to bring the art of Fayetteville to everyone – free of charge!
Businesses in historic downtown Fayetteville join the action and become artistic venues on 4th Friday, featuring the arts in all forms, for all ages. 4th Friday is like an old fashioned “Gallery Crawl.” Folks of all ages get a taste of Fayetteville’s art and entertainment while enjoying the small galleries, bookstores, bistros and shops with unique items for shoppers. Even the streets become the stage for roaming magicians, puppet shows and drum circles.
It’s safe, it’s fun and did we mention it’s free! Families love it. Seniors love it. Teens love it. Arts supporters love it. And once you’ve been to a 4th Friday, you’ll love it too. For more information visit – www.theartscouncil.com/.
