Certificate of Excellence in Reliability
PWC has received the American Public Power Association’s Certificate of Excellence in Reliability, an annual recognition for achieving exceptional electric reliability, five times.
The APPA tracks power outage and restoration data and then compares the data to national statistics tracked by the U.S. Energy Information Administration for all types of electric utilities. Only the utilities who subscribe to the eReliability Tracker service are eligible for the certificate.
In 2022, the average outage time (without major incidents such as hurricanes) for PWC customers was 45.69 minutes, well below the top quartile average of 54.41 minutes. PWC has an overall reliability rate of 99.9876.
