Our Commitment to Water Quality Earns National Recognition

PWC is constantly working “behind the scenes” to deliver over 10 million gallons a year of clean, safe water to more than 225,000 customers in the greater Fayetteville area. We have two treatment facilities, which have won numerous awards for innovation and exceptional performance, plus nearly 1,400 miles of underground piping and other state-of-the-art equipment that we maintain – all by a skilled and dedicated workforce who make it happen every day.

Partnership for Safe Water 20-Year Director’s Award

PWC was recently recognized by the Partnership for Safe Water with their 20-Year Directors Awards for the P.O. Hoffer Water Treatment Facility & the Glenville Lake Water Treatment Facility. We are proud to be a charter member of the Partnership, which was developed jointly by the Environmental Protection Agency, American Water Works Association, utilities, and other water organizations. In 2000, PWC became the first utility in North Carolina to be recognized with the Director’s Award for our efforts and proven ability to treat water in a manner which exceeds current regulatory practices.  Since earning the award in 2000, PWC continues to maintain this distinction through its exemplary practices.  PWC has maintained the Directors Award for 20 years, an honor achieved by less than 200 water utilities across the country.

Leak Alerts Save Water & Money

PWC also helps customers save water (and money) by notifying you if we suspect you have a significant leak. Discover, and fixing, a leaky toilet can save more than 6,000 gallons of water a month!
