PWC Wins Excellence in Innovation Award

During their annual awards ceremony on Jan. 30, 2024, the Greater Fayetteville Chamber recognized PWC with their 2024 Excellence in Innovation Award.

This prestigious award is designed to honor organizations or businesses that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to innovation, pushing the boundaries of creativity and problem-solving. This award also celebrates those who have made significant strides in creating groundbreaking solutions, products, or services that have had a transformative impact on their industry or community.

PWC was nominated for this award because of its efforts to advance renewable energy and working with rate payers to find options in solar energy that meet their needs and interests.

“It is truly an honor to receive the Excellence In Innovation Award, acknowledging PWC’s work in advancing renewable energy and providing clean energy options for our customers,” said PWC CEO Timothy Bryant. “We continually strive to meet the needs of our community through safe, reliable, sustainable actions. Those efforts along with giving back to our community, is what being a hometown utility is all about and helps make the greater Fayetteville area an even better place to live, work, and raise a family!”

PWC’s commitment to seeking new, innovative ways to deliver services has also been key to the utility being recognized nationally with the American Public Power Association’s Reliable Public Power Award, Certificate of Excellence in Reliability, and Smart Energy Provider Awards; ElectriCities of North Carolina’s Public Power Award of Excellence for Customer-Centered Innovation; the National Association of Fleet Administrators Top 100 Fleets in America (#30); and the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality’s Area Wide Optimization Program Award.
