Big Rockfish Creek Sewer Outfall Project

Phase 2: Construction Status

The Big Rockfish Creek Sewer Outfall Project will be built in four (4) phases. Phase 1 has been completed, Phase 2 is currently under construction and Phases 3 and 4 are in design.

Final section of Phase 2 (Mariner’s Landing Subdivision) is scheduled to begin construction in March 2025.

• Some properties in Phase 2 may have access to sanitary sewer lateral connections. These sanitary sewer lateral locations will be determined by manholes locations. This area is still under design and details on which properties will have access to the laterals is not available yet.
• Information about who may have access to sanitary sewer lateral connections will made available in the future.

Where the roads are excavated during construction, PWC will perform repairs to the roads in accordance with the approved NCDOT Encroachment agreement.

South of Pineview to South of Pineview	N/A	Work on the easement at the Contract I tie-in to Lakeview Drive is completed and restoration has been performed.  Work in Lakeview Drive will resume around August 2025.
Waldo’s Beach Road to Lake Farm Road	Ongoing	T.A. Loving will be working on the Waldo’s Beach Campground from manhole 66 to manhole 69.  Restoration will continue within Waldo’s Beach Campground through the end of July. T.A Loving will be installing sewer along Lake Farm Road between manhole 71A (7000 Lake Farm Road) and manhole 73 (7008 Lake Farm Road) during the weeks of August 11 and August 18th.
Mill Creek Road	Inactive	Work will resume once T.A. Loving has completed the Waldo’s Beach Road/Waldo’s Beach Campground work to Lake Farm Road.
South of Waverunner Court to West of Northbank Street	Ongoing	T.A. Loving will be working in Mariner’s Landing (Mariner’s Point Subdivision) on sanitary sewer installation between manhole 90 to manhole 91.  Manhole 90 (7104 Mariner’s Landing Drive) to manhole 91 (7112 Mariner’s Landing Drive) is scheduled during the week of July 21st. T.A. Loving and its subcontractor will continue installing sanitary sewer service laterals along Mariners Landing Drive during the weeks of July 21st and August 18th
Camden Road to I-295	Inactive	Temporarily seeded.  Operations will resume once NCDOT project conflict is clear.
