Time-of-Use Summer Peak Hours Return April 1st

Time clock showing summer time-of-use hours: April-October
3:00 PM-6:00 PM
Every day
7 days a week

Time-of-Use (TOU) Peak hours switch to summer hours on April 1st with 3 hours of Peak rates a day.

Peak hours will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. every day of the week, including holidays, through October. This three-hour period represents the highest energy demand and cost.

By shifting energy use to Off-Peak hours, customers can save 35% and collectively, this reduction helps ratepayers save millions of dollars annually and allows PWC to continue to have some of the lowest electric rates in the state.

Tips for Reducing Energy Use During Peak Hours:

  • Adjust Thermostat: Turn your thermostat up in warm weather to reduce cooling costs.
  • Use Off-Peak Hours: Wash and dry laundry and run your dishwasher during Off-Peak hours.
  • Minimize Heat-Generating Appliances: Reduce the use of ovens, clothes dryers, and other heat- generating appliances during Peak hours.
  • Take advantage of our PWC Incentive Programs to help with TOU and Beat the Peak!
